With the opening of its 10 Storey New Wing in September 2009, LSC has again expanded to meet the needs of the people of Penang, the Northern Region and the neighbouring countries and in support of the government's effort to promote medical tourism and to make LSC the destination of preference for healthcare internationally. With this New Wing, LSC has now created another landmark in Georgetown.
With this expansion, LSC now has 3 wings, namely the Main Wing, Diagnostic Wing and Women & Children Wing with Fertility Centre. The Electronic Medical Record System has also been implemented to facilitate a more efficient management of patient's records.
