Together with Prof. Niwat, we aim to raise the bar for aesthetic education and practices across the APAC region.”
A Pioneer in Laser Dermatology
Dr. Niwat's entry into the world of energy-based devices (EBD) for dermatology dates back to the early stages of laser treatments in Southeast Asia. Prof. Niwat explains, "I was influenced by the ground-breaking work of my mentor, Prof. Dr. Isaac Kaplan. After studying under him, I brought the first CO2 laser to Thailand and subsequently pioneered the use of various pigment and vascular lasers, culminating in the study of Picosure® for melasma with noteworthy results." Prof. Niwat's journey reflects a relentless pursuit of technology for better clinical outcomes.
Empowering Through Education: Learn Beyond Borders
Prof. Niwat's desire to educate stems from his dedication to addressing melasma, a condition that bears a significant social stigma in Thailand. "To conquer melasma has been my lifelong mission. Educating local doctors to treat melasma with new laser technologies has become my current goal," he shares. Prof. Niwat has opened his own international laser clinic in Hua Hin, which is equipped with modern facilities for training and treatments. This is a big step in bringing top-quality treatments and learning opportunities to places outside of big cities like Bangkok.
