Dr. Adeline Sia obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from University of Malaya in 2004.

After graduation, she decided to go back to Sarawak where she came from to serve the community. She gained vast experience and skill in ophthalmology during her service there.

She was actively involved in Continuous Medical Education at hospital and state level. In 2010, she continued to pursue her training in University of Malaya and was awarded Master of Surgery (Ophthalmology).

She is also a certified ophthalmologist under National Specialist Registry.
She has since served in Hospital Kuala Lumpur as Ophthalmologist and further strengthens her knowledge in various eye disease management including complicated cataract surgery and intraocular lens implantation, pterygium, glaucoma and various medical eye diseases.
In addition to her clinical work, she heads the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) unit, Risk Management Team and the Incidence Reporting team in continuous effort to maintain highest standard of patient safety and care.

Dr Adeline is also an ophthalmology lecturer involved in training of medical students of the MAHSA University.
She is a visiting surgeon at the MAIWP (Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan) Cataract Surgery Centre in conjunction with the local government’s effort to provide affordable healthcare services for all.
Dr Adeline has special interest in the latest technology of refractive surgeries (Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA), femto-LASIK and ReLEx SMILE) and Femtolaser Cataract Surgery.

Dr. Adeline is a very friendly, compassionate and professional individual who is committed in providing the best to her patients.
She is also a selfless mother of three children. In spite of her busy schedules, she still finds time to do leisure reading and gardening.
