Entered medical school of University Sains Malaysia and received his M.D in 2006. Completed
housemanship training in 2008 at University Malaya Medical Centre. Pursued for master’s program with
University of Malaya and obtained his Ophthalmology.
Worked as a comprehensive specialist in corneal unit of Hospital Sungai Buloh. A regular cataract
surgeon in Cataract Surgery Centre MAIWP-Hospital Selayang.
Dr Chang has vast experience in normal and complicated cataract surgery, multifocal and toric intraocular lens implant, Femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) and pterygium surgery.
He also provides refractive surgeries such as Customized Femto-Lasik, ReLEx SMILE, Customized Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA) and Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery.
Has strong interest in dry eyes treatment, eye infections, glaucoma treatments especially minimally invasive surgery, paediatric eye care, common retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and agerelated macular degeneration, laser treatment for floaters (laser vitreolysis), and other common eye conditions.
Fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese.
Dr Chang is currently based at the Optimax Eye Specialist Centre in Sri Petaling, visits TTDI and Seremban.
