Dr. Tang Seng Fai obtained his MD from UKM in 2008, then a Master of Ophthalmology and Glaucoma Fellowship in 2017 and 2021.
Prior to joining OPTIMAX, Dr. Tang was a general ophthalmologist, glaucoma fellow, and medical instructor at UKM for four years.

He manages glaucoma and general ophthalmology cases and teaches UKM medical and master’s students.
Dr. Tang has published in ophthalmology and glaucoma publications locally and internationally.
He obtained the Best Master Student Award 2015/2016 from Malaysia Conjoint Ophthalmology Examination Board and Professor Mustaffa Young Investigators’ Award at Diabetes Asia 2016 Conference.
Prior to joining Optimax in 2022, he worked as a general ophthalmologist at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and was also a lecturer for 4 years, teaching UKM undergraduate medical students and master’s students in the ophthalmology department.
Dr. Tang is a skilled cataract surgeon. He is actively performing minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and conventional glaucoma filtering surgery.
Dr. Tang is currently based in Optimax Eye Specialist Centre in Klang and visits TTDI.
